Review: Maybelline Graffiti Collection Color Show Loaded Bold Lipstick-Raspberry

Hands down, Maybelline has to be my favorite drugstore brand. And I am so happy that Maybelline is launching so many makeup products and it is also expanding its makeup range- from highlighters, strobing creams to blushes, from contours to liquid lipsticks and what not. I can see it moving towards the professional makeup range and the best part is that its still quite affordable.

Recently, Maybelline collaborated with New York’s hottest Graffiti artist, James Goldcrown, to design an exclusive collection inspired by his legendary ”Love Wall”. With its edgy style, this collection captures the heartbeat of New York! This range has the following products

-HyperSharp Eye Liner: INR 475/-

– Brow Pomade Crayon: INR 450/-

– Color Show Loaded Bolds: INR 550 /-

– Cushion Case: INR 850/-

The brand sent me the entire collection to try out and I couldn’t be more happier. Today, I am reviewing the color sensational Loaded Bold Lipstick. The range has two shades- Raspberry and White. I have the shade Raspberry.

Packaging

First, the packaging is very cute and colorful, and will look pretty sitting on your vanity or in your makeup pouch.

It’s like the Maybelline Color sensational, or loaded bold packaging, however, the cap has the artistic “Love Wall” paints on it.

Color, Price, Quantity & Availability

The raspberry shade is a dark fuchsia shade. It retails for INR 550 for 3.9 gms. It is available offline on Shoppers Stop and online on Nykaa.

Texture and Formulae

The texture of the lipstick is matte, however the formulation is very comfortable on the lips, I wore it without a lip balm underneath, and my lips didn’t feel dry at all, which is definitely a plus point. It is highly pigmented, and you can get an opaque color in just one swipe, which is amazing. If you love dark shade lipsticks, you are going to love it. It’s perfect for the winter and wedding season.

The staying power of the lipstick is pretty good. It lasts all day long, might fade off a bit with a little eating, but, the color pay off is very good, it barely goes off from the lips. It is not transfer proof, and might stain your clothes.

Since the lipstick is highly pigmented, it is slightly difficult to remove, and it does stain my lips. It goes off completely with an oil based makeup remover, with 1-2 swipes.

Overall, I am more than happy with the lipstick, and it is definitely going to be a master piece in anyone’s makeup collection.
