New makeup always excites me, and that’s exactly why I have this blog, because I love trying out new products, and share my experiences with you guys. About two weeks ago, I was sent a couple of products from Deborah Milano, and I have been using them so I thought of sharing my experience.
Deborah Milano is an Italian cosmetic brand, which has been in India for quite a while, however this is my first time trying out their products.
The first product from the bunch is a mascara. Now, I don’t do a lot of eye makeup, however, mascara is something I never skip, whenever I am doing my makeup. Deborah Divine Volume & Curves Mascara is a waterproof mascara, and stays all day long. It has become my go to mascara for the days when I do my makeup. The packaging is quite sturdy and is not flimsy at all, thus making it very travel friendly. It has a curvy wand, and gives my lashes decent amount of volume. It doesn’t make my lashes extra voluminous. The name also says that it’s a curving mascara, which is true. It does curve the lashes a bit. Overall, it’s a nice mascara and is priced at INR 595 which is a little pricy according to me, as these days there are tons of brands which does better mascara at much affordable prices. Thus, I don’t think I would be repurchasing it, but using up this tube for sure.
Coming up to the next pick viz. Deborah Absolute Lasting Liquid Lipstick. This range comes in 9 shades and I have the shade 11- Pearly Burgundy. It is dual ended lipstick; has liquid lipstick formula at one end and a clear gloss at the other. It is quite long staying, and survived on my lips even after two meals. Its very opaque, and is deeply pigmented. The liquid lipstick has a doe-foot applicator, hence making the application quite easy. It does goes off from the inner corners of the lips, which is a bummer but the formulation is quite comfortable on the lips. It does give a matte effect and is not drying on the lips at all. It is priced at INR 950, and I would want to pick up more shades in this range.
Next up is the Deborah Ultra Liner, which is a liquid liner. I am not a liquid liner person, I always prefer pencil liners and hence, I haven’t used this product a lot. I have used it just twice, and what I like about the product is its applicator. It is matte in texture, which is my preference, I usually don’t wear glossy eyeliners. Its quite opaque and smooth to apply and stays on for about 4-5 hours. It is not waterproof. It retails for INR 575.
The last review of the day is Deborah Extra Eye Pencil. This is a sharpening kajal pencil. I love wearing kajal or kohl pencil. Even if I don’t do makeup everyday, kajal is something I never skip.
To be honest, out of the whole bunch, this product has been a disappointment. Its not opaque, not pigmented, does not sit on my waterline for more than half an hour. It smudges very easily as well. I haven’t tried using it as a liner yet, but I will keep you guys posted. It retails for INR 545.
All the Deborah products are available at NewU Counters.
Overall, my experience with the brand has been a hit and a miss !
Hope you found this useful.
Until next time,
